Located between bustling Thomasville Road and Monroe Street, the area boasts historic homes, eateries, and entertainment, all within walking distance – and it's only a short drive to Florida State University, Downtown, and other local attractions.

Black Dog Café

This lakefront, laid-back café has a charming wooden deck that's perfect for relaxing and enjoying the atmosphere around tranquil Lake Ella. Try some house-brewed kombucha, a fresh pastry, and their delectable dark-roast espresso.

The Midtown Caboose

A fun and dog-friendly spot, the Caboose is great for when you want to chow down on some decadent comfort food creations. The burger list is wondrous – featuring extreme delights like the PB&J burger with homemade peanut butter cheddar cheese and jam, or the Legend of Weewa Ike, with a patty dipped in chocolate stout batter then deep-fried.

Midtown Pies

Looking for a late-night snack and a cold craft beer? Midtown Pies is open until 11pm during the week and 3am on Fridays and Saturdays and has a menu full of Tally favorites like enormous salads, artisanal pizzas, and a well-rounded list of beers on tap.

If you've got a sweet tooth, then this Midtown scratch bakery is calling your name. Their brioche doughnuts are made by hand every morning and come in a tasty variety of flavors like sugared strawberry lavender, maple bacon glazed, or a brown sugar molasses premium glazed treat.

Barb's Brittles

This gourmet candy and ice cream shop has been a Midtown staple for over 17 years. The shop's owner is a genius with sugar and chocolate and has created unusual and unique confections such as Homemade Virginilla Brittle Ice Cream, cashew brittle dipped in strawberry chocolate, and buttery pumpkin seed brittle.

Food Glorious Food

An upscale restaurant with an attached craft bakery, FGF opens at 11am on weekdays and 10am on weekends with a delightful brunch menu and libations. The dinner menu is full of tempting plates, like gnocchi with blue cheese cream sauce, fresh lump crab cakes with house remoulade, and caramelized salmon.

4th Quarter Bar and Grille

A great place to post up for FSU games or any televised sports event, the humble 4th Quarter is a beloved local icon. The beer is cold, the staff is amazing, and they've recently added a Sunday brunch with unlimited mimosas and Bloody Marys.

Lafayette Park

This shaded and tranquil slice of nature in busy Midtown is a wonderful choice for an afternoon picnic or children's play date. Featuring a dog park, play area, and a wooded walking trail, Lafayette Park has something to appeal to everyone.

Winthrop Park

Located just off bustling Betton Road, family-friendly Winthrop Park has six multi-purpose courts with lights and two outdoor racquetball courts for neighborhood fitness fanatics. It also has a sturdy children's play area and plenty of shady spots to relax.

Guyte McCord Park

With a large pond and a charming array of sculpture, McCord Park is visually appealing green space in the heart of Midtown. Blooming flowers, unexpected artwork, and secluded bench swings give the park a romantic atmosphere.

Dorothy B. Oven Park

Originally part of the Lafayette Land Grant, this six-acre park offers a rare glimpse into Tallahassee living in the early 20th century.
